Northeast Utilities (NYSE: NU) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.29375 per share, or $1.175 annualized.

The dividend will be payable on March 30, 2012, to stockholders of record on March 1, 2012, with an ex-dividend date of February 28, 2012.

The annual yield on the dividend is 3.4 percent.
