Wedbush upgraded Curtiss-Wright (NYSE: CW) from Neutral to Outperform, price target raised from $36 to $48.

Wedbush analyst says, "While the stock is up 51% since hitting a low of $26.16 in September (compared to a 20% increase over the same period for the broader S&P 500 and a 27% increase in the iShares A&D Index), we believe there is further upside from commercial market catalysts and a continued reduction in defense risk overhang."

"Double-digit EPS and revenue growth in 2012 implies EPS in-line with current 2012 estimates, but does not reflect any upside from conservatism or a 4Q 11 beat. We believe the company will issue guidance that hits its “triple double” goal for 2012, and we expect a strong 4Q 11 reported after the close on 2/14. We are raising our 2012 EPS estimate to $3.08 from $3.00."
