UBS maintains a 'Neutral' on Apartment Investment Management (NYSE: AIV) price target raised from $21 to $25.
UBS analyst says, "The tone of AIV’s 4Q11 earnings conference call was decidedly more upbeat than the painful 3Q11 call, with management more bullish on portfolio strength heading into 2012. ‘Core’ guidance for 2012 exceeded our expectations, but our forecast remains below the guided midpoint as we are subscribing to a ‘wait-and-see’ approach. On the external growth front, we support AIV’s partnership acquisition strategy and believe a sale of the asset-managed portfolio will simplify reporting and increase operational focus."
UBS: Estimates generally unchanged, remain towards low-end of guidance (FY12 stays at $1.73 and FY13 raised $0.02 to $1.98)
