DA Davidson Upgrades Consolidated Communications Holdings (CNSL) to Nutral; Consolidated Acquiring SureWest

DA Davidson upgraded Consolidated Communications Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: CNSL) from Underperform to Neutral, raises price target from $15.50 to $19.00.

DA analyst said, "Yesterday, CNSL announced an agreement to acquire SureWest (Nasdaq: SURW) for $23 per share...With this acquisition, CNSL decreases its leverage and improves its mix of businesses toward less regulated, higher growth areas. We think CNSL will not make any other large acquisitions for the next two years. With a sustainable 8% yield, we are upgrading our rating..."
