The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM), Fires Software Engineering Division (FSED), has awarded CGI Federal Inc. (CGI), a wholly-owned U.S. operating subsidiary of CGI Group Inc. (NYSE: GIB), a US$89.4 million contract to provide system and software engineering support services. The contract has a one-year base with one, one-year option period.
Under the contract, CGI will provide C4ISR support across the lifecycle of artillery support systems, including software development and fielding. Work will be primarily performed at CGI's Systems Engineering Center of Excellence in Lawton/ Fort Sill, Okla., which provides U.S. defense clients with services such as information security, training, simulation, and quality-control.
