Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMY) Commences $26/Share Tender for Inhibitex (INHX)

Bristol-Myers Squibb Company (NYSE: BMY) is commencing today, through its wholly owned subsidiary Inta Acquisition Corporation, a cash tender offer to purchase all outstanding shares of common stock of Inhibitex, Inc. (Nasdaq: INHX) (“Inhibitex”). Bristol-Myers Squibb announced on Saturday, January 7, 2012 its intent to acquire Inhibitex.

Upon the successful closing of the tender offer, stockholders of Inhibitex will receive $26.00 in cash for each share of Inhibitex common stock validly tendered and not validly withdrawn in the offer, without interest and less any required withholding taxes. Following the purchase of shares in the tender offer, Inhibitex will become a subsidiary of Bristol-Myers Squibb.
