Think America is the only place crazy enough to line up for the iPhone. Not a chance.

According to reports late-Thursday, China is going gaga for the launch of Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) iPhone 4S.

Images from several Apple blogs have App-fans in China lining up days in advance, just like they do in America.

Other images show iPhone 4S arrivals in Beijing, with some estimates of 400,000 units already shipped.

The only carrier with rights to the iPhone 4S is China Unicom (NYSE: CHU), which doesn't accept pre-orders for the device. Unicom will be offering both the 16- and 32-GB versions of the phone, and one- to three-year service plans. The other rumored carrier, China Telecom (NYSE: CHA), needs a little bit more government approval before it can begin slinging the device.

Shares of Apple somehow ended 0.3 percent lower Thursday.
