Molycorp (NYSE: MCP) shares have been trading strong Thursday, following a recent blog post establishing quite the price target on the miner.
According to a post from a SeekingAlpha contributor, they have set a price target of $105 per share on Molycorp following analysis of the company. This isn't a five-year, or three-year price target either. The analyst plans on Molycorp shares jumping over 250 percent higher by December 31, 2012.
Whether this post is solely responsible for the movement is questionable, but investors are taking notice, with Molycorp is up 7.4 percent into the close.
