UBS maintains a 'Buy' on Kraton Performance Polymers (NYSE: KRA) price target lowered from $31 to $28.75.
UBS analyst says, "We estimate Kraton’s EBITDA for 2011 will be nearly $200 million and adjusted EPS of $3.60. Despite the dramatic swings in raw materials, our FY EPS estimate is within 7% of our January 2011 estimate that we forecast at $3.36. The December butadiene contract price is $0.98/lb, down from a $1.75/lb peak in August."
"We are lowering our 4Q11E EPS to negative $0.16 from a positive $0.14 to reflect an assumed reduction in shipments from 64k MT to 60k MT, and by increasing the estimated FIFO hit from $18M to $23M. We are raising our 2012E EPS by $0.10 to reflect the potential benefit from lower raw material costs, partially offset by a 2k MT reduction in our sales volume estimate."
