What a difference a year makes.
Last year's worst performing Dow Jones Industrial Average component, Bank of America Corporation (NYSE: BAC), is notably stronger today.
After losing an astonishing 58.32% of their value in 2011, BofA is seeing its stock rise over 4 percent to start the new year.
BofA is not the only bank stock higher to start the year. Other laggards like Citigroup (NYSE: C) is up 7%, JPMorgan (NYSE: JPM) is up 4.5%, Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) is up 5.6%, and Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS) is up 6.3%.
