Winners and Losers of 2011: McDonald's (MCD), IBM (IBM), Pfizer (PFE), BofA (BAC)

With the Dow Jones Industrial Average up more than 6 percent for 2011 with just three trading sessions left, let's take a look at some individual winners and losers this year. Notably, the Dow gained 11.02 percent last year.
The winners in the Dow (and the only stocks which gained over 20 percent YTD) are McDonald's (NYSE: MCD), IBM (NYSE: IBM), Pfizer (NYSE: PFE) and Home Depot (NYSE: HD). Mickey D's is the big winner with current gains of 30.5 percent, IBM is up 26 percent, Pfizer shares are up 24 percent, and shares of Home Depot are up 20.4 percent.
The big loser of the year is Bank of America (NYSE: BAC), leading the laggards with a loss of over 58 percent.
Last year's winner, Caterpillar (NYSE: CAT) (at a 68.5 percent gain in 2010), is 21st this year, currently down about 1.5 percent for the year.
