Oppenheimer reiterates an 'Outperform' on KLA-Tencor (NASDAQ: KLAC) price target of $55.00.

Oppenheimer analyst said, "We reiterate our rating and PT on KLA-Tencor, and are more confident that the next leg of the stock's upward trajectory is in place. Why? Not only has there been no change in the monster Q/Q order guidance for C4Q11, but also, our checks indicate that C1Q12 is shaping up nicely with contribution from foundry and NAND flash memory, such that the order guidance should be flat to up. We also expect that Intel (Nasdaq: INTC) may be starting to order for the 14nm node."

"Remains Top Idea: Two prime beneficiaries of the battles being fought are KLAC (gets $1+ of $2 in process control) and the litho vendor ASML Holding (Nasdaq: ASML). In fact, KLAC's bright field and dark field tools are becoming the de-facto "go-tos" for navigating the complex defect inspection challenges in 2012."
