Nomura Securities Maintains a 'Buy' on United Technologies (UTX); Highlights from 2012 Outlook Meeting

Nomura Securities maintains a 'Buy' on United Technologies (NYSE: UTX) price target of $88.00.

Nomura analyst, Shannon O'Callaghan, said, "The largest profit improvement in the 2012 plan targeted to come from the newly formed Climate, Controls & Security segment (CC&S), headed by Geraud Darnis, who recently drove a restructuring of Carrier, and is now being counted on to do the same for Fire & Security and CC&S as a whole. 2012 guidance was set at $5.30-$5.50 (includes $0.50 of dilution from GR and $0.15 of pension headwind). 2013 Goodrich accretion was guided to $0.20-$0.25 vs. our $0.25 estimate. We reduce our 2012 and 2013 EPS estimates by $0.05 each to $5.50 and $6.75, including the pending Goodrich acquisition."
