Barclays maintains an 'Equalweight' on DuPont (NYSE: DD) price target of $52.00.
Barclays analyst says, "1) 2012 Outlook and Guidance: DuPont sees decent macro fundamentals and continued earnings growth in '12. DuPont provided EPS guidance of $4.20-$4.40; 10% higher than the midpoint of 2011 guidance."
"2) What's really driving the ship? Growth in DuPont's Ag, Nutrition & TiO2 businesses have resulted in strong top and bottom line growth. These businesses now represent ~50% of revenue."
"3) Danisco: DuPont has continued its transformation to a more biology-driven company. Highlighting the process is the company's 2011 acquisition of Danisco, which gives DuPont greater leverage to the existing bio space."
"4) 'Q4 a Little Lower...Weakness in consumer electronics, the automotive supply chain, and PV lead to an '11E guidance revision to $3.87-$3.95 (-10c). Some of the reported weakness (electronics, PV) was expected. We have updated our Q4'11 estimates from $.48 to $.37 to reflect the aforementioned headwinds and revised our '12 EPS from $4.40 to $4.29."
