GE's (GE) Immelt Discusses 2012: Will Keep Acquisitions in $1-$3B Range, Sees Continued Dividend, Buybacks

Shares of GE (NYSE: GE) are falling with the broader stock market into the close Tuesday as CEO Jeff Immelt is currently speaking at the company's Annual Outlook Investor Meeting.

In addition to a brief 2012 update in presentation slides offered ahead of the meeting, Immelt is giving the following comments:
  • sees double-digit growth in Industrial and Capital next year;
  • has $100 billion in cash to allocate over the next four years;
  • expects to keep to acquisitions in the $1-$3 billion range "generally";
  • sees biogas business as $20 billion unit by 2020;
  • "committed to GE Capital";
  • sees gaining market shares in the Narrowbody Planes and MRI Equipment segments;
  • sees 50 percent market share in wind turbines in 2012;
  • sees continued dividend and buybacks.
GE shares last traded at $16.39, down 0.5 percent from Monday's close.
