Barrington Research downgraded RealD (NYSE: RLD) from Outperform to Market Perform.

Barrington analyst said, "Domestic growth opportunities will for now be tied to the film slate, implying moderate growth in line with the overall industry. International growth should be greater via market share gains, but this will be an evolutionary process. The home C.E. space, already a more distant opportunity, was pushed back further with the demise of the Samsung relationship. While recent stock price action has reflected such concerns, and despite our view that 3D remains a real business opportunity, the slower near-term growth potential and lack of meaningful immediate upside catalysts suggests a more conservative current stance is warranted. Therefore, we are moving our rating. However, the low relative valuation metrics suggest this name should justify interest from value investors, especially since one or more favorable announcements could point to a revived interest in RealD’s ultimate growth potential."
