Barclays reiterates an 'Equalweight' on Meritor (NYSE: MTOR) price target of $6.00.
Barclays analyst says, "MTOR establishes three initiatives to improve margins in F2012: MTOR made it clear that optimizing/increasing capacity, reducing the high-cost European footprint and improving pricing/commodity recovery will be the main undertakings in F2012. Although expectations have been re-set lower with deteriorating truck conditions and weak cash flow on top of a likely weak start in F1Q12, the presentation provided us with increased confidence in our belief that it will take MTOR several quarters to re-establish its earnings power - in the meantime, we reiterate our EW with a $6 PT."
Other highlighted points: 1) Commercial Vehicle incremental margins still a concern; 2) Aftermarket & Trailer a bright spot; and 3) MTOR reiterates conservative truck build forecast.
