Monday has brought us more news on Windows 8.
Expected for initial beta testing sometime toward the end of February 2012, and a launch later in the year, Digitimes reports the BIOS company Phoenix Technologies launched Phoenix SCT 2.2, which is aimed to help PC partners in Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) Windows 8-based systems development.
Phoenix is also developing to support Windows on ARM (WOA) (Nasdaq: ARMH), according to reports. Additionally, the firm is cooperating with Qualcomm (Nasdaq: QCOM) and Texas Instruments (NYSE: TXN).

Along with the broader market, Microsoft shares are in positive territory early Monday.
