Nomura Securities maintains a 'Neutral' on Amazon.com (NASDAQ: AMZN) price target of $220.00.
Nomura analyst, Brian Nowak, said, "We recently initiated coverage of Amazon.com with our primary concern surrounding the margin pressure from Amazon simultaneously investing in all three of its key platforms. In this note, we analyze the potential margin benefit of Amazon working to further develop a private label program. Building out and scaling a private label brand may take a couple of years, but we estimate that every 200bp of incremental private label business within Amazon’s revenue mix would add ~15bp to Amazon’s CSOI margins."
