Perry Ellis International, Inc. (Nasdaq: PERY) 34.3% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.40, 21 cents worse than the analyst estimate of $0.61. Revenue for the quarter came in at $248.4 million versus the consensus estimate of $254.31 million. Perry Ellis sees FY2012 EPS at or above $2.00, versus prior guidance of $2.45 to $2.52 and the consensus of $2.52. The Company also sees FY2012 revenue of about $1 billion, versus the consensus of $1.02 billion.
Zoll Medical Corp. (Nasdaq: ZOLL) 21.7% HIGHER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.52, versus $0.33 reported last year. Revenue for the quarter came in at $151.9 million, versus $120.4 million reported last year. Zoll sees 17 to 19 percent revenue growth in 2012. Announces $50M buyback plan.
ACCO Brands Corporation (NYSE: ABD) 21.6% HIGHER; ACCO and MeadWestvaco Corporation (NYSE: MWV), have signed a definitive agreement to merge MeadWestvaco Corporation’s Consumer & Office Products business into ACCO Brands in a transaction valued at approximately $860 million. Upon completion of the transaction, MeadWestvaco shareholders will own 50.5 percent of the combined company.
Youku.com (NYSE: YOKU) 20.3% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of ($0.07), 4 cents worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.03). Revenue for the quarter came in at $41.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $39.76 million. Sees Q4 sales up 90 to 100 percent.
Rambus (Nasdaq: RMBS) 18.4% HIGHER; bouncing today following a 60 percent decline yesterday after the company lost its antitrust case against Hynix and Micron.
KEMET Corporation (NYSE: KEM) 16.5% LOWER; reports facility restructuring continues as previously announced and that it will take a charge to earnings related to severance expenses of approximately $6.5 million to $7.0 million during the current quarter that ends December 31, 2011. Childrens Place (Nasdaq: PLCE) 15.0% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $1.33, 6 cents better than the analyst estimate of $1.27. Revenue for the quarter came in at $484.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $469.09 million. Comparable retail sales increased 0.9% in the quarter. Childrens Place sees FY2011 EPS of $3.24 to $3.29, versus prior guidance of $3.13 to $3.25 and the consensus of $3.22. Also sees Q4 2011 EPS of $1.19 to $1.24, versus the consensus of $1.22. The stock was upgraded to Buy at Janney.
