Notable ETF Movers of the Day 11/17: (UNG) (VXX) (KRE) Higher; (GLD) (MOO) (SMH) Lower

- United States Natural Gas (NYSE: UNG) up 2.67 percent to $7.87. Nat gas moving higher following EIA reports that inventories rose 19 billion cubic feet to 3.85 trillion bcf last week, a new record high. Speculation might surround chillier weather rolling through much of the U.S. will cause consumers to turn up thermostats, and that stores will likely diminish moving forward.
- iPath S&P 500 VIX Short-Term Futures ETN (NYSE: VXX) up 0.17 percent to $46.37. The CBOE VIX is trading just about flat on the session, wavering between positive and negative territory, as U.S. economic data is mixed on the session and a Spansih bond auction saw yields near 7 percent, close to a record for Spain. Philly Fed data also showed slowing growth for November.
- SPDR S&P Regional Banking ETF (NYSE: KRE) up 1.47 percent to $23.43. Regionals being led by Fulton Financial (Nasdaq: FULT), which is up 2.5 percent after BB&T Capital initiates coverage on Fulton with a Buy, and $12 price target.

- SPDR Gold Shares (NYSE: GLD) down 1.40 percent to $169.11. Gold moving lower on potential for the European debt issues to spread from peripheral to core economies, which is halting investment and may even have some positions being liquidated to cover other losses. Analysts still agree that the long-term outlook for gold is bullish. Gold December contracts are $35.2 lower to $1,739.1 per ounce on the Comex.
- Market Vectors Agribusiness ETF (NYSE: MOO) down 1.38 percent to $48.53. The ags are lower, being led by Mosaic (NYSE: MOS) Thursday, following news that Mosaic will buyback up to 21.3 million shares of common stock from Margaret A. Cargill Trusts for a total price about $1.2 billion. Mosaic is 2.5 percent lower on the session.
- Semiconductor HOLDRS (NYSE: SMH) down 2.98 percent to $30.98. Applied Materials (Nasdaq: AMAT) is giving a little extra push lower to the chips following its strong fourth-quarter results, but light outlook. Applied Materials is 7 percent lower on the session.
