November 9, 2011 2:32 PM EST
Rambus (Nasdaq: RMBS) shares are now down 4.6 percent in afternoon trade. Although the decline in the broader stock market is certainly hitting shares, headlines from Bloomberg which suggest a member of a US trade agency has said the company's patents asserted against Broadcom (Nasdaq: BRCM), NVIDIA (Nasdaq: NVDA) and others should be invalid are also likely weighing.

Shares of Rambus last traded at $17.52.
