Shares of SunTrust Banks (NYSE: STI) are outperforming the broader stock market nicely despite being downgraded by Rochdale's Dick Bove Monday morning.

The stock last traded at $19.49, up about 5 percent from Friday's closing price.

Bove now rates SunTrust shares a Neutral, down from Buy previously. The analyst reduced his price target on the stock from $30 to $24.

The new Rochdale price target suggests potential upside of about 23 percent from where the stock is currently trading.
