Canaccord Genuity maintains a 'Buy' on Watson Pharmaceuticals (NYSE: WPI) price target of $85.00.
Canaccord analyst, Randall Stanicky, said, "We met with management of Columbia Laboratories (Nasdaq: CBRX)(Not rated) on Friday and leave with continued confidence in our above-consensus forecasts for PROCHIEVE, which if approved will be Watson’s first on market treatment for women at risk of pre-term birth. We have detailed what we believe are the most relevant details from our meeting, with emphasis around understanding potential ACOG guidelines and drivers of market size. While it is hard to argue that BUY-rated WPI isn’t well owned, we believe that the PROCHIEVE opportunity is under-appreciated and has potential to be a meaningful P&L driver with updates coming near-term ahead of the Feb. 26 PDUFA."
