Wells Fargo upgraded Sara Lee (NYSE: SLE) from Market Perform to Outperform with a price target range of $19-$21 (from $17-19).
Wells analyst says, "We believe that Sara Lee's current share price does not appropriately reflect the value-creation opportunities likely to be created by the planned split-up of the company, which is on-track to be completed by mid 2012. We see significant potential for the independent coffee and meat companies to unlock shareholder value by accelerating top-line growth while improving margins. As a result, we are raising our FY2013 EPS estimate to $1.15 from $1.10."
