Barclays reiterates an 'Overweight' on Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) price target of $555.00.

Barclays analyst, Ben A. Reitzes, says, "We continue to believe Apple's market cap can see further gains as it extracts more profits out of the traditional PC and mobile phone industries...We are upbeat about the next iPhone but we wouldn't be surprised if we saw the iPhone 4 remain in the line-up at lower price points to fend off the competition. We believe that the potential new model in 2011 will feature a faster processor, an upgraded 8MP camera and be optimized for use with the new iOS 5. New voice recognition software could be a potentially attractive new feature."

"Amazon Tablet Imminent - Still Confident in iPad Momentum: Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN) will hold an event tomorrow that Anthony DiClemente believes will launch an Android-based 7" color Kindle tablet. We believe that Amazon has the potential to be a meaningful, but distant, rival to Apple in the tablet space given its Kindle user base and access to content. Also, Amazon seems to have the ability to price disruptively given its lower margin threshold and razor/razor blade model in terms of selling content. However, in our view, Apple can sustain a lead given its leading software, tie-in with iTunes, Apps and favorable effect from iPhone. If Amazon sees success, we believe Apple will seriously consider "pricing down" the 16GB iPad 2 to $349-$399 upon the launch of the new iPad 3 in C1Q12. In the near term, we believe iPad demand is also solid and view concerns over iPad build rates as overblown."
