Macquarie reiterates an 'Outperform' on Oracle (NASDAQ: ORCL) price target of $36.00.

Macquarie analyst says, "Oracle reported better than expected F1Q12 results, achieving the upper half of its license revenue guidance and beating EPS by a penny (after adjusting for a lower tax rate). While F2Q EPS guidance was in line with consensus (after tax adjustment), total revenue guidance was below normal seasonality and appropriately conservative in our view."

"Now that we are past the seasonally difficult F1Q, we reiterate our Outperform view of ORCL shares given best-in-class execution, the disruptive power of engineered systems, and the durability of Oracle’s business. While we contend that IT spending is decelerating, we believe Oracle is better positioned than most to endure it."
