Deutsche Bank initiates coverage on Whole Foods Market (NASDAQ: WFM) with a Buy. PT $75.00.

Deutsche analyst says, "We are initiating on WFM with a Buy Rating and a $75 PT based on the following key points: 1) we prefer retailers with strong structural advantages (vs. its peers) and WFM fits that bill given its healthy/organic niche; 2) we also like companies where earnings revisions are moving higher and we see EPS upside to the 2012 outlook; and 3) WFM is a much stronger player today (vs. 2008) with a healthier capital structure (no debt), more efficient capital/expense discipline, and improved value positioning."

"We are forecasting 4Q11 EPS to be $0.42, up from $0.33 in 4Q:10 (+25% year-over-year) and $0.01 above the Street as solid ID sales continue to lead EPS higher...All told, we believe WFM could deliver FY12 EPS of close to $2.50 per share when all is said and done, but we believe it prudent to keep the bar low, particularly given the recent volatility in the equity markets."
