Baker Hughes Incorporated (NYSE: BHI) announced today that the international rig count for August 2011 was 1,183, up 33 from the 1,150 counted in July 2011, and up 81 from the 1,102 counted in August 2010.
The international offshore rig count for August 2011 was 318, up 11 from the 307 counted in July 2011 and up 11 from the 307 counted in August 2010.
The U.S. rig count for August 2011 was 1,957, up 57 from the 1,900 counted in July 2011 and up 319 from the 1,638 counted in August 2010.
The Canadian rig count for August 2011 was 473, up 126 from the 347 counted in July 2011 and up 86 from the 387 counted in August 2010.
The worldwide rig count for August 2011 was 3,613, up 216 from the 3,397 counted in July 2011 and up 486 from the 3,127 counted in August 2010.
The international offshore rig count for August 2011 was 318, up 11 from the 307 counted in July 2011 and up 11 from the 307 counted in August 2010.
