Notable ETF Movers of the Day 09/06: (VXX) (UUP) (UNG) Higher; (SPY) (MOO) (XLF) Lower

- iPath S&P 500 VIX Short-Term Futures ETN (VXX) up 6.73 percent to $44.27. The CBOE VIX is 15.5 percent stronger Tuesday as issues in Europe resurface. The Swiss, in an attempt to keep their currency under control, have officially set up a peg, saying it would no longer "tolerate a EUR/CHF exchange rate below the minimum rate of CHF 1.20."
- PowerShares DB US Dollar Index Bullish (NYSE: UUP) up 1.51 percent to $21.54. As stated above, the Swiss are capping the escalation of their currency value, leading many to turn to the U.S. dollar. The USD/CHF is up about 8 percent on the session.
- United States Natural Gas (NYSE: UNG) up 1.65 percent to $9.87. Nat gas futures are higher on the session following reports that there may be a little more warmer weather left for some parts of the U.S. over the next week, boosting anticipation for further stockpile draws. October contracts are $0.02 higher to $3.892 per mmBtu on the Comex.

- SPDR S&P 500 (NYSE: SPY) down 2.12 percent to $115.35. Markets feeling pressure from across the pond Tuesday. S&P 500 is off 2.1 percent, whle the Nasdaq is 1.9 percent lower, and the Dow Jones is 2.1 percent lower.
- Market Vectors Agribusiness ETF (NYSE: MOO) down 3.07 percent to $49.65. MOO is being led lower by Syngenta AG (NYSE: SYT) today, which is 7 percent lower on the session. The ETF is also being affected by Monsanto (NYSE: MON), which is 3.7 percent lower following reports late last week that its genetically modified corn crops are succumbing to rootworn infestation...the exact pest they were designed to kill.
- Financial Select Sector SPDR (NYSE: XLF) down 2.11 percent to $12.27. JPMorgan (NYSE: JPM) is spearheading the move lower in financials today, down 4 percent on the session, following European debt concerns which are keeping markets in the red Tuesday.
