Ackman's Pershing Square Raises Stakes in Citi (C), Family Dollar (FDO), Cuts Stake in Kraft (KFT)

Bill Ackman's Pershing Square released its latest 13F filing for the quarter ended June 30, 2011.

The fund showed a nearly 10 million share increase in its position in Citi and a more than doubled stake in Family Dollar. Pershing reduced its stake in Kraft during the quarter.

Raised Stakes
Citigroup, Inc. (NYSE: C) raised from 14,670,777 shares to 23,520,741 shares
Family Dollar Stores, Inc. (NYSE: FDO) raised from 5,764,187 shares to 11,094,493 shares
Fortune Brands, Inc. (NYSE: FO) lowered from 16,668,636 shares to 17,170,033 shares (as recently as Aug. 10th, Ackman showed 20,818,545 shares in a 13D filing)
General Growth Properties, Inc. (NYSE: GGP) raised from 71,802,853 shares to 72,233,712 shares
J.C. Penney Co., Inc. (NYSE: JCP) raised from 34,919,071 shares to 38,715,571 shares

Lowered Stakes
Kraft Foods Inc. (NYSE: KFT) lowered from 22,239,265 shares to 22,230,989 shares
J.C. Penney Co., Inc. (NYSE: JCP) (CALL) lowered from 4,156,700 shares to 360,200 shares

Liquidated Stakes
Corrections Corp. of America (NYSE: CXW) liquidated

Maintained Stakes
Alexander & Baldwin, Inc. (NYSE: ALEX) maintained 3,561,943 share stake
Greenlight Captial RE, LTD. Class A (NASDAQ: GLRE) maintained 250,000 share stake
Howard Hughes (NYSE: HHC) maintained 3,568,017 share stake
