Warren Buffett Found Out About Kraft (KFT) Split at Breakfast Tuesday, Will Keep the Stock 'With Both Feet'

August 4, 2011 1:09 PM EDT
Commenting on today's move by Kraft (NYSE: KFT) to split into two separate companies, large shareholder and market maven Warren Buffett told Fox Business Network Liz Claman he will keep the stock "with both feet."

The Oracle told Claman he is "fine" with the deal and Kraft CEO Irene Rosenfeld is "doing a good job."

Buffett said he learned about the spin-off at a breakfast with Rosenfeld on Tuesday. "Irene called and asked to come to Omaha to have breakfast Tuesday. I had no idea why she was coming."

It must feel good to be in the know. It's also a good thing that David Sokol is no longer with Berkshire.
