Auriga reiterates a 'Buy' on Cerner (NASDAQ: CERN), raises price target from $65 to $72.
Auriga analyst says, "We are reiterating our rating on Cerner following a strong quarter in which results exceeded top- and bottom-line expectations, and were supported by record bookings for a second quarter ($100 million above the midpoint of guidance). We have noted previously and reiterate that as meaningful use hurdles get tougher, the hospital IT market is becoming a two-horse race, with CERN and privately held Epic leading the field. Specifically, CERN continues to win its fair share of replacement business, is leaps ahead of any competitor internationally, and its foray into medical device integration and more recently, the long-term care market, is gaining traction. As a must-own healthcare IT stock, we are increasing our price target to $72, reiterating our BUY, and recommend becoming aggressive on dips. "
