Barclays maintains an 'Equalweight' on The Blackstone Group (NYSE: BX) price target of $23.00.

Barclays analyst says, "BX shares have increased 20% YTD, vs the S&P500's 7% rise. In our assessment, the company's 2Q11 results showed a continuation of several themes witnessed in the past quarters. These include an ongoing recovery in real estate as two major funds are now through their incentive catch-up phase. As part of the conference call, management indicated it expects realizations in real estate to pick up in the second half, as well as next year...We are raising our EPS estimate to $2.01 in 2011 from $1.85, and to $2.03 in 2012 from $1.90. Our revised outlook primarily reflects the 2Q earnings beat."
