Nomura Securities maintains a 'Buy' on Bed Bath and Beyond (NASDAQ: BBBY).
Nomura analyst, Aram Rubinson, said, "BBBY reported strong FQ1 results with EPS of $0.72 compared with Street expectations of $0.62 and our Street-high estimate of $0.66. Comps of +7% were also ahead of the Street’s +4.8% expectation. We were higher at +6%. We are raising our F2011 EPS estimate to $3.75 from $3.67. That is due to FQ1 upside together with continued discipline on SG&A, which actually declined 0.5% on a per foot basis. Our F2012 EPS estimate increasee to $4.50 from $4.40: 15% ahead of consensus."
