FBR Capital initiates coverage on Air Lease Corp (NYSE: AL) with an Outperform. PT $28.

FBR analyst says, "With an experienced management team and ample capital, Air Lease is well positioned to quickly assemble an attractive portfolio of new-generation aircraft, drive rapid EPS growth, and grow into one of the largest aircraft lessors, in our opinion. We believe that Air Lease founder Steven Udvar-Házy and his management team, as pioneers in aircraft lease financing, will use their long-standing relationships with manufacturers, airlines, and other lessors worldwide to facilitate the rapid procurement and deployment of aviation assets. Continued global economic growth driving increased air travel, particularly in emerging markets, combined with the airlines’ increasing use of leased aircraft, underpin demand for leased aircraft, thus supporting lease rates and aircraft values...We are forecasting EPS of $0.38, $1.20, and $1.80 for 2011, 2012, and 2013, respectively."
