Nomura Securities maintains a 'Neutral' on Family Dollar Stores (NYSE: FDO), PT increased from $50 to $56.

Nomura analyst says, "We are looking for EPS of $0.92 versus Street expectations of $0.95. FQ3 guidance calls for a range of $0.92-0.97. Results should be instructive for two reasons: First, FDO’s comments should add clarity to Dollar General’s remarks regarding pricing and margins; we expect FDO to strike a more balanced tone on price increases. Second, FDO’s latest set of results (FQ2) showed a surprisingly good mix of sales, margin and costs. If FDO is able to deftly balance those elements again in FQ3, it could go a long way toward quieting critics that claim FDO has too many balls in the air."
