FBR Capital maintains an 'Market Perform' on Verint Systems (NASDAQ: VRNT), PT $38.
FBR analyst says, "This morning, Verint posted mixed April results that were better than feared, in our opinion, as the company slightly missed the Street’s estimates on the top line but beat on the bottom line. While some on the Street may be disappointed by the top-line miss, we believe the company’s good FY12 top-line guidance and good execution on the margin front will be the highlights from the quarter. Particularly, we believe the company is poised for balanced growth in its workforce optimization and security segments for FY12, a positive dynamic that we believe sets the name up well as both of the company’s growth engines should be contributing mid- to high-single-digit growth over the next 12 to 18 months. To this point, we believe Verint is prudently balancing investments to support future growth and profitability, a tough act, in our opinion, especially now that it is functioning as a typical public company, versus the black-box scenario over the last few years."
"For F2Q12 (July), our revenue and pro forma EPS estimates of $193.5 million and $0.61 remain unchanged. For FY12, our estimates of $781.8 million and $2.56 remain unchanged. We are also introducing our FY13 estimates of $846.3 million and $2.84."
