CBOE Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: CBOE) reports the following May trading volume for options on the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE):
- Average daily volume - 4 million contracts, down 39 percent;
- Index options ADV - 1 million contracts, down 38 percent;
- ETF options ADV - 1.1 million contracts, down 43 percent;
Equity options ADV - 1.8 million contracts, down 37 percent;
- The top five most actively traded index and ETF options at CBOE during May were the S&P 500 Index, Standard and Poor's Depositary Receipts, CBOE Volatility Index, iShares Silver Trust and iShares Trust - Russell 2000 Index Fund; and
- The top five most actively traded equity options during May were Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL), Citigroup (NYSE: C), Bank of America (NYSE: BAC), Cisco Systems (Nasdaq: CSCO) and Intel Corporation (Nasdaq: INTC).
- The top five most actively traded index and ETF options at CBOE during May were the S&P 500 Index, Standard and Poor's Depositary Receipts, CBOE Volatility Index, iShares Silver Trust and iShares Trust - Russell 2000 Index Fund; and
