Speaking at a special shareholders meeting, execs at Liberty Media (Nasdaq: LINTA) are making some comments related to the recently-announced deal with Barnes & Noble (NYSE: BKS).
- John Malone said he expects an answered related to the deal "soon."
- CEO Greg Maffei says Barnes & Noble is making "great" progress and that the company's transition to digital is attractive.
- a deal will take "months, if not weeks" to complete
- Malone also added that he believes the Android platform will "dominate" the market and that Barnes & Noble's retail space may be able to drive its digital products.
