Ford (F) Divests Blow-Molded Fuel Tank Business

Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F) reports that it has entered into an agreement for the sale of its blow-molded fuel tank business to Automotive Components Holdings, LLC.
Closure of the transaction and transfer of the business are scheduled for June 1, 2011.
Under the deal, the fuel tank operation and many of its employees will move over a three year period from its current location to a new plant to be built by Inergy in southeast MI.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
