Goldman Sachs downgraded Alliance Data Systems (NYSE: ADS) from Neutral to Sell saying valuation is a strength and they see possible tailwinds emerging.

The firm lowered CY2011 EPS estimates by $0.13 to $6.97, CY2012 by $0.01 to $7.78 and CY13 by $0.21 to $8.59. The firm raised their price target from $70 to $77.

Goldman said the stock is too expensive relative to peers "given growth headwinds in all three businesses that we believe are not fully appreciated by the Street."
