Global Hunter Securities initiates coverage on Raptor Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: RPTP) with a Buy. PT $6.
Global analyst said, "Although the company’s near-term success is tied to the success of DR Cysteamine in cystinosis, we believe the drug can provide several other shots on goal in larger market opportunities such as Huntington’s disease and Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH). We view DR Cysteamine in Huntington’s disease, Convivia in ALDH2 deficiency and Tezampanel in thrombotic disorder as call options given the programs’ early stages of development. We see upcoming milestones such as Phase III DR Cysteamine data in cystinosis in Q2, completion of patient enrollment in the Phase II Huntington’s study in Q3, initiation of a Phase II study in NASH in H2 and a concurrent US/EU 505(b)2 filing in cystinosis in early 2012 as potential catalysts to boost shares. We view RPTP as an undervalued investment opportunity based on decreased development risk, numerous shots on goal and attractive valuation."
