FBR Capital maintains a 'Market Perform' on Vocus, Inc. (NASDAQ: VOCS), PT $28.
FBR analyst says, "The company’s bookings growth accelerated to 30% year over year from 16% and 20% in the prior two quarters. We attribute the strong bookings to: (1) an improvement in PR spending, (2) increasing traction of the company’s social media monitoring offering, and (3) an expanded distribution capacity. While the company maintained its bookings growth target of 17% to 18% for the year, it implies a marked quarterly slowdown throughout the remainder of the year as the impact of acquisitions fades. We think the company’s social media monitoring and upcoming SMB marketing platform offerings are potential sources of upside. The challenge for Vocus is to execute on these opportunities and overcome competition, particularly in the social media space. Given the current valuation, we believe the risk/reward remains neutral and would wait for positive data points around the social media and SMB opportunities or a pullback to get more constructive."
