Corporate Earnings for Q1 Look Promising So Far, Here's the Top Movers...

With the heart of the first-quarter earnings season now mostly behind the Street, data from Bloomberg on Monday suggests corporate profits for the latest quarter are looking strong.
About 71 percent of companies in the MCSI World Index have beaten analyst estimates since April 11th, a Bloomberg article from this morning noted. Earnings from 188 corporations on Wall Street have been better-than-expected over the last few weeks -- about 8.8 percent better, on average.
Since early April, stocks are slightly higher. The Dow Jones is up about 0.7 percent, the Nasdaq is up nearly 1.9 percent, and the S&P 500 is up about 0.8 percent.
Based strictly on stock performance, some of the best quarterly reports (using StreetInsider.com's EPS Insider) have come from:
