Bancorp Rhode Island, Inc. (Nasdaq: BARI) 45.2% HIGHER; Brookline Bancorp, Inc. and Bancorp Rhode Island have entered into a definitive merger agreement whereby Brookline Bancorp will acquire Bancorp Rhode Island and its subsidiary, BankRI, for approximately $234 million in cash and stock.

TiVo Inc. (Nasdaq: TIVO) 42.1% HIGHER; TiVo won an affirmance of contempt of disablement provision against Dish Network (Nasdaq: DISH). Dish Network will get a new hearing in order to determine if the company infringed on a TiVo patent.

Doral Financial Corp. (NYSE: DRL) 31.7% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.01, which may not compare with the analyst estimate of ($0.29).

OCZ Technology Group Inc. (Nasdaq: OCZ) 32.5% LOWER; falling on a negative report from Copperfield Research. After starting in positive territory, shares have made a 43% swing on the day, but still well off its 52-week low of $1.79.

Polaris Industries, Inc. (NYSE: PII) 25.8% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $1.34, $0.64 better than the analyst estimate of $0.70. Revenue for the quarter came in at $537.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $421.26 million. Increases FY2011 EPS outlook to $5.53 - $5.68, versus the consensus of $4.84.

Prana Biotechnology (Nasdaq: PRAN) 16.3% HIGHER; announced its business strategy to accelerate development of its lead asset, PBT2. The strategy, that now includes Huntington's Disease, should enable Prana to target market approval for PBT2 several years sooner than previously planned and at considerably less cost.

Media General, Inc. (NYSE: MEG) 15.1% LOWER; reported Q1 loss of $1.15, $0.87 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.28). Revenue for the quarter came in at $148.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $155.3 million.

Lee Enterprises (NYSE: LEE) 12.9% LOWER; the stock has fallen sharply since moving below the $3 level. Shares are down more than 25% since last Tuesday (not including today's decline).

VMware, Inc. (NYSE: VMW) 12.7% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.48, $0.06 better than the analyst estimate of $0.42. Revenue for the quarter came in at $844 million versus the consensus estimate of $815.35 million. Sees Q2 2011 revenue of $860-$880 million, versus the consensus of $845 million. Sees FY2011 revenue of $3.55-$3.65 billion, versus the consensus of $3.52 billion.

China Integrated Energy, Inc. (Nasdaq: CBEH) 10.7% LOWER; reports the termination of four gas station leases by Shaanxi Highway Service Co., Ltd. The termination brings total gas station leases for China Integrated from thirteen to nine.

Gulf Resources, Inc. (Nasdaq: GFRE) 8.6% LOWER; took a dive following crude oil data, which had a 2.3 million barrel drop in supplies.
