FBR Capital maintains an 'Outperform/Top Pick' on Halliburton (NYSE: HAL), PT $72.
FBR analyst says, "Halliburton reported 1Q11 EPS of $0.61, ahead of our estimate of $0.58. The upside surprise was derived from North American revenue growth, in addition to better-than-expected performance in Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia. As expected, management has muted expectations for the Europe/Africa/CIS segment due to continued unrest in Libya, but HAL's prospects in the Middle East and North America should be strong at least through the end of the year due to a number of lucrative contracts in Iraq and continued tightening of the U.S. land market."
