Deutsche Bank initiates coverage on Western Gas Partners (NYSE: WES) with a Buy. PT $40.

Deutsche analyst says, "WES is a midstream natural gas partnership part-owned (46%) by Anadarko (NYSE: APC) which stands to benefit from the prevailing high oil/gas price ratio and development of liquid-rich shales. The surge in unconventional gas is supportive of subdued natgas prices; at the same time, the liquids growth props up the high oil/gas ratio and widens NGL frac spreads. These all imply strong growth potential for this fee-based business. With a strong parent willing to accelerate growth with asset dropdowns, we initiate on WES with a BUY."
