Shares of XOMA (Nasdaq: XOMA) are down 33% in after-hours trading Tuesday following news that the company's Phase 2b trial on 052 missed its primary endpoint.
Although 052's safety was confirmed, glucose control was not demonstrated and a reduction in glycosylated hemoglobin for Type 2 diabetes patients was not achieved.
