American Tower (NYSE: AMT) reported that their Board has approved a $1.5 billion buyback of Class A Common Stock. The approval was made March 10, 2011.
The Board also made a decision about bonus awards upon achievement of certain targets. CEO James Taiclet could receive a bonus of 100% of his base salary, or $1.1 million. Other executives could receive a bonus of up to 70% of their base salary.
